AMNIOGRAFT® is the ONLY Recognized Amniotic Membrane Graft for Ocular Surface Wound Repair and Wound Healing.
AMNIOGRAFT® is Bio-Tissue's trademark name for processed and cryopreserved human amniotic membrane tissue retrieved from donated placental tissue after elective Cesarean Section delivery.
AMNIOGRAFT®'s efficacy in ocular surface wound healing is endorsed by many peer reviewed papers. See a literature summary.
AMNIOGRAFT®'s proprietary preservation method retains amniotic membrane's vital cytokines and growth factors which provide the natural biologic actions of this tissue in utero (anti-scarring, anti-inflammation, anti-angiogenesis and promotion of healing). Those factors work to repair and regenerate damaged ocular surface tissue.
The sticky, stromal side of AMNIOGRAFT® which contains the above mentioned cytokines and growth factors should be placed down onto the ocular surface for maximum wound healing and repairs. AMNIOGRAFT® also maximizes surgical convenience for surgeons using a sutureless approach to affix it to the ocular surface.

The durable and elastic nature of the tissue in utero is preserved for easier surgical handling and permanent placement.
AMNIOGRAFT® is convenient to store in a standard refrigerator or freezer. See our storage instructions.
