Bio-Tissue Hosts Key Educational Events at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Meeting 

Prominent speakers to discuss advances in ocular surface treatments 

MIAMI, Fla., November 8, 2012 – Bio-Tissue, Inc., an ophthalmic biological therapeutics company, will host key educational events highlighting advances in ocular surface treatments at this year’s American Academy of Ophthalmology Meeting (AAO) taking place November 10-13, 2012 in Chicago.  

Bio-Tissue will host an Ocular Surface Biologics Symposium Event “New Therapeutic Strategies to Address Chronic and Acute Ocular Surface and Corneal Conditions,” on Sunday, November 11 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency. The prominent speakers will be Neel Desai, MD, Eye Institute of West Florida; Daniel A. Johnson, MD, FACS; UT Medicine Eye Clinic at the MARC; and W. Barry Lee, MD, Eye Consultants of Atlanta. 

In addition, Bio-Tissue will host a series of presentations by leaders in the field for the treatment of ocular surface diseases and conditions. Presentations will take place throughout the show in Bio-Tissue’s booth #4340, and will cover topics such as “The Emerging Standard of Care for Ocular Surface Diseases,” by Neel Desai, MD, and “Conjunctivochalasis: Restoring the Tear Reservoir,” by Scheffer C.G. Tseng, MD, PhD, Founder of TissueTech, Inc. and Medical Director of Ocular Surface Center and Ocular Surface Research & Education Foundation.
