Bio-Tissue Appoints New Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

MIAMI, Fla., November 19, 2012 – Bio-Tissue, Inc., an ophthalmic biological therapeutics company, today announced the recent appointment of Tom Daniells to the position of Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing.

Bringing extensive experience in senior positions in sales, marketing and business development, Daniells will be responsible for leading the commercial organization globally, accelerating its revenue growth and building brand equity. Daniells will manage Bio-Tissue’s sales force throughout North America and the company’s marketing organization which is based at its company headquarters in Doral, FL.

Tom Daniells, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, has over 28 years of sales, marketing, international and business development experience in ophthalmology and optometry. Most recently, Daniells was with Optos, Inc., an international provider of ophthalmic devices, where he joined as Director of Sales, then moved into the role of Vice President, Global Marketing, where with his involvement, the company grew from less than $10 million to over $140 million. In his latest role at Optos as Vice President, Business Development, Daniells led the acquisition of two companies, including Opko Health, Inc. Daniells has also held senior positions at Becton, Dickinson and Company, Summit Autonomous Inc. and Alcon Laboratories. Daniells has an MBA in International Marketing from the University of California at Irvine and a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from California State University – Fresno.
