“Eye-care professionals have been looking for consistent and effective in-office management of moderate to severe cases of lid margin diseases (LMD) such as blepharitis and demodex,” said Brandon Ayres, M.D., Wills Eye Institute. “In my practice, I want to relieve discomfort and provide therapy for patients suffering from LMD. By isolating 4-Terpineol, which is scientifically proven to help manage symptoms of LMD, Cliradex® Complete provides a comprehensive and easy-to-use ocular hygiene solution that delivers improved ocular health.” Cliradex® Complete Advanced Lid Hygiene Kit is a professional, comprehensive lid hygiene protocol featuring a formulation gel called Cliradex® Advanced Care that includes a stronger concentration of 4-Terpineol for in-office application by a doctor or trained technician. This new formulation also contains ingredients for easy removal of lid margin debris and make up. The kit comes with a dual-sided applicator, doctor and patient materials, and a carton of Cliradex® lid wipes for patients to use at home for management of their symptoms. This new addition to the Cliradex® product line is used for moderate to severe cases of lid margin diseases, while the current Cliradex® lid wipes can be used by patients at home for mild to moderate cases.
Cliradex® products are natural, preservative-free lid, lash and facial cleansers, and are the only commercially-available products that isolate 4-Terpineol. “Bio-Tissue® is committed to continuing to innovate and develop products that have a positive impact on eye care and patients’ quality of life,” said Dr. Scheffer Tseng, MD, PhD, Bio-Tissue, Inc. Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer. “Through ongoing evidence-based research, we have developed Cliradex® Complete for doctors to use in office to help them improve clinical outcomes and manage symptoms of lid margin diseases.”
