Bio-Tissue® Appoints Tom Daniells to Chief Commercial Officer

MIAMI, FL – January 13, 2014 – Bio-Tissue® Inc, a leader in the ophthalmic biological therapeutics industry, today announced the recent promotion of Thomas G. Daniells to Chief Commercial Officer. Mr. Daniells’ promotion underscores the company’s commitment to eye care and the importance it will play in the future growth of the company.
Daniells joined Bio-Tissue® in 2012 as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Under his leadership the sales revenues have grown by over 34 percent. As Chief Commercial Officer, Daniells will lead the commercial organization globally, accelerating its revenue growth and deepening brand equity for all products. He will continue to drive business growth and market share, as well as oversee the vision and strategic direction for the Doral-based company.

Tom Daniells, Chief Commercial Officer, has more than 28 years of domestic and international business development, sales and marketing experience in ophthalmology and optometry. His most recent accomplishments at Bio-Tissue® include growing the company’s annual revenue by more than 30% from 2012 to 2013, launching two new products for the PROKERA® brand, including PROKERA® SLIM for mild to moderate indications, and PROKERA® PLUS for moderate to severe indications, and positioning the company to introduce these new technologies into primary eye care, enabling earlier treatment of patients’ ocular surface diseases. Daniells has held leadership positions in some of the industry’s largest organizations. He earned his MBA in International Marketing from the University of California at Irvine and has a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from California State University – Fresno.
